Eric and Rosanna Ramos

Eric and Rosanna Ramos have worked at Fairhaven Baptist Church since he graduated in 1999. Eric grew up here at Fairhaven and attended the academy along with his brother and sister. Eric's sister Christina is a graduate and pastor's wife in Texas, and his brother Bill also graduated and is serving the Lord in Michigan.

The Ramos family is a product of the bus ministry at Fairhaven Baptist Church. Their mother was saved and Mr. Ramos allowed the family to attend faithfully and even sent all his children to the Christian school, but he never trusted the Lord himself for salvation. After over twenty years of praying, Bill Sr., was saved during a climbing trip with some of the men of our church to Mt. Whitney in California.

Rosanna grew up in Monterey, Mexico, where her parents are missionaries. Her older sister Bonita came here to college and Rosanna followed in 1995. After graduating, Eric and Rosanna were married and began working with the junior high teens, the Spanish ministry, and the Rolling Prairie bus route. Rosanna has also worked in the business office and taught Spanish in the college.

When reflecting on his college training, Eric is still affected by the emphasis on service and intensity. He remembers that classes and ministries worked "hand in hand" to teach him that God's service demands our best efforts. He says he was shown an example of "all out" work for the Lord in a "first class" way.

The Lord has led Eric to be an evangelist and he feels a particular burden for teenagers. He is scheduling meetings every other week so that he can keep his family involved in his home church. He and Rosanna are expecting their second child in October.
